Ram Dass knew Dr. John C. Lilly and came to visit the human-dolphin communication Project JANUS at MarineWorld/Africa USA in Redwood City, California.
I introduced Ram Dass to swim with Joe and Rosalie, the two bottlenosed dolphins, in the Project JANUS back lot concrete sea tanks. Ram Dass had a nice connection with Rosalie, the female dolphin. She pushed him up to the floating wall platform and allowed him to hold her. This was in the eighties, when the Human/Dolphin Foundation acquired Joe and Rosalie, two Atlantic bottlenose dolphins from the waters of Gulfport, Mississippi and brought them to MarineWorld/Africa USA in Redwood City, California.
