Nozomi Kobayashi talked about humpback whale research in Japan and Okinawa, in her talk A Brief Tour of Humpback Whale Research in Japanese Waters. I was born in Japan, so I was happy to see this presentation. When I lived on Okinawa as a teenager, I saw fishermen spearing dolphins and pilot whales in Nago Bay.
